Every Year we have a theme for our Christmas Celebrations and Decor. This year was Bright Hope. We had a very Brightly colorful tree and the word Hope hanging in various places. We framed hopeful words of Christmas hymns and placed them around the house.
We are trying to get into the tradition of doing advent readings and poems and lighting candles each week leading up to Christmas and while we have yet to do all 5 weeks I love what we have been able to read. I know the kids will love them as they grow up. I battle with wanting all my traditions to be in place right now but each year is teaching me that the most meaningful traditions are those which have taken years to grow and cultivate. So, it's not in how much you do everything but more that what you do do has meaning.
A thrill of HOPE the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
